Spring Middle Fork with Kelly Two Ravens

After years of putting in for permits with my group of river buds, a new friend from snowboarding put in with us and actually drew a permit. Beginners luck I am thinking. Kelly came over from the Jackson area with her kayak, digeridoo and the permit to take a bunch of Idaho river trash down the river with her. And we are thankful.

We launched on June 19th at about 6K cfs and it mostly dropped during the six days we were out, ending up around 4-5K cfs on the 24th when we took off.

Several of these are from Johannes. Kelly sent over some great shots too, just needed to get something up since I figured out some of the problems with the whole blog thing.

Velvet Falls.

Greg came down from Montana to join the Idaho clan - big smile after smoothing Velvet.

Beth showing approval at Scott's run.

Keith and Cindy's adventure in Velvet. Cindy came out from St Louis to reimmerse ( literally ) herself in the Idaho wilds.

Pat Czis through Velvet.

Boatman's Break after arriving Sheepeater.

Morning time at Sheepeater. Cindy painting at the hot springs.

Steve, Greg and Kelly starting their day at Sheepeater.

Pistol Creek Rapid

Ira "spin to win" Shapiro coming out of Pistol. Actually everyone seemed to use the 360 approach to running this.

Bobby, Eric and Cc playing spin the raft.

Kelly was unfazed by the super squirl at the bottom of Pistol.

Dolly Lake

Indian Creek fishing and hanging.

Eric at the oars in Pungo Canyon.

Camp at Marble Right

Jack give it up you ain't gonna beat the Gladiator. He will terminate you.

Yours truly trying to get the early season fish interested in a dry fly at Marble Right.

Scott and Johannes took a little time at Sunflower to catch their breath.

Trail Camp

Loon Creek.

Zack and Reg showed up after coming down Loon with Kirk Bachman who I hadn't seen in years.
Broken boats and duct tape and stopping to drain was the order of the day for Reg.

Elk Bar

Scott and Beth wanted a few portraits on the rock at Elk Bar. Hey Scott this is a family blog here!!!

That's better.

Guy really stepped up on the last night as I shirked my duties to play bocce rock and drink all night. Thanks Guy.

Keith still smiling night five.

Kelly and Greg sharing a laugh.

Night time Digeridoo

Rubber

A nice group of rams.

Kelly last blow on the dig before leaving the MF. Lunch at Goat Creek.
